Hi first time poster sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. My Gigabyte R9 280X gpu fan is starting to make a noise and I noticed a slight wobble you might say on the middle fan. The question I wanted to ask was has anyone ever done a RMA with Synnex NZ before and if so how did it go. Any feedback would be appreciated thanks.

Not me but that is a simple issue. I'd expect a repair rather than replacement.

Is the main issue how long you will be without the card?

I hope it won't be too long I rely on my computer for my job. Any longer than a week and there goes my paycheck.

I deal with Synnex regularly and find them excellent.

Give them a call and speak to the tech support people first and they will most likely direct you to the RMA form.  You will need to supply proof of purchase.

Where was the card purchased from?  Normally you would return a faulty item to the retailer and get them to do the legwork.

If the card was bought from PBTech it could have been parallel imported and therefore the local support agent will probably not be interested in helping.  In that case the retailer will need to send it back to wherever they got it from for support.

Thanks for the reply Dynamic. I purchased it through Paradigm PCs and contacted them today and filled out a rma form. They have sent me post details and a RMA number.

Yes I've had to do RMA's with them before and found them very good although I wouldn't expect turn around time of a week, shipping can be 2-3 days there plus they need time to look at it, do all of the admin work and then another 2-3 days to send it back.
