I purchased an Intel 535 SSD over the weekend, and want to migrate my OS to it.

Old disk has the OS plus another large storage partition, so I only want to migrate the OS partition to the SSD.

I can't use the Intel Data Migration tool as this wants to do the entire disk (plus it doesn't say it supports Windows 10).

I instead used Shadow Protect to clone the boot and system partitons onto the SSD. It will boot but when I logon the screen just rapidly flashes as discussed here.

If I try the solution in that article, the flashing stops but I then get explorer.exe errors that I can't dismiss (I click OK, but it pops straight back up) so I can't do anything else.

I currently don't have any third party antivirus installed.

In retrospect I should have posted this in the Windows forum. Anyway, I didn't find a solution and just did a clean install instead.
