In case you missed it, the new CC apps went live today.  I'm on the Photoshop pre-release program and have been using the various reiterations of CC2018, and I am not convinced that people will be overjoyed with the new features sad to say, but check it out.

Something that is pretty cool is a new version of Image Size > Preserve Details 2.0. Where it has an edge to work with, it is clearly better than the original.

Wow, I had no idea how expensive the Adobe suite was even just for subscriptions. A$180/year (~NZ$200/year) just for Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC with 20GB cloud storage.

Compared to the Microsoft suite, for example, Adobe is a complete rip off.

seems to get good reviews, if you're into that sort of thing

Hmm that looks very interesting.

I've been looking for photoshop alternatives like Paint.NET and Gimp but neither has nearly enough tools, and Gimp in particular has somewhat horrible UI.

I have got the owned versions, cs6 I think, then they still sold them, which were a couple of thousand for the suite. I don't really see much need to update, as it does everything I need it to an more. Not sure if they do still sell owned versions or if they have moved entirely to the subscription model.

If Adobe didn't have such awful pricing structure I would update CS6 Production Premium bundle to CC.... but they only let you buy one app for a low price or fill up your drive with all of them for a huge amount... They need to have an option for a triple app bundle or something as most users don't need everything.
