dt: I was referring to if you knew of a privacy benchmarking tool ...

Unfortunately don't know of any benchmarks that measure privacy. ...

Check out Panopticlick from the EFF.org. Or have a look at https://alternativeto.net/software/panopticlick/

Cheers for that

I think I can live with brave blocking 3rd parties that "promise" to honor do not track requests..

I'm going to look into fingerprinting later this afternoon

ANglEAUT:

Batman: question: but is there a browser that has a proper dark mode! ... (converts all sites to dark mode)

Until you find one, there is the DIY option:

doesn't work properly as in some sites are mis-transformed and suboptimal.

i use the "dark reader" extension with chrome at night but i am reading that all my data are potentially visible to the dev which is also no good :(

unfortunately i need chrome as all my stuff (logins) is saved there!

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.

Pretty much all browsers these day will import all your data if that's the only reason stopping you from switching to another
