To be honest the split annoyed me the second I hooked the 2nd monitor up and I contemplated going off set but once I started working and had each window set up how I needed it I quickly forgot about it and it doesn't annoy me now. When gaming I game on the right side and have Spotify, Youtube, chrome or Kayo sports up on the left quite comfortably.

The kb is a Ducky One 2 SF with custom keycaps (my attempt at the old NES colourway)

The desk top is actually the same one linked by talkiet all I did with it was oil it.

My WFH setup has evolved again. I think it's reached its final form. I'm also finally able to have some downtime and play some games given the workload is normalising finally. It's been bonkers since February.

If I squint my eyes real hard, I'm sure I can see a Samsung badge... which model did you go with? I'm guessing a 49" model by the size of it?

I don't think that loss of pixels on either side is that noticeable when you are divvying up one screen for multi-window work. The windows might technically be smaller, but because they are clustered together, it doesn't actually feel like they are smaller. For games, it also feels more cinematic than having your view broken up by screen joins. The curve is quite minimal as well, so it just feels natural.

The only way I would move to multiple monitors again is stacked ultrawides. Or just go to a 40"+ 4k monitor.

Same... I have a single 35" curved monitor (1440 x 3440) and it's superb. A lot less cable mess going on...

Monitor is now faulty and has to be returned. WAAAAHHHH FML. Going to ask for a replacement instead of repair, according to CGA the description of the issues can be reasonably deemed a serious fault that warrants a replacement.

Not for a failure of substantial character. Then the consumer has the choice to reject the goods.

A monitor not switching on is a failure of substantial character - it's not a minor defect.

Bunnings have a range of cheap but excellent looking timber panels. I used one to make my own computer desk in the corner of a dining room.

I used a couple of those last year to set up a double desk. Under the left-hand desk on the wide image you can see some gutter on the floor before being attached to the back underside of the desk - I've found that a short piece of gutter works really well to clean away wallwarts, small switches, cabling etc.
