Download SetACL and save the exe to your windows folder.

Open CMD and type the following commands.

CD..
SetACL -on "Owner" -ot file -actn setprot -op "dacl:np;sacl:nc" -rec cont_obj -actn setowner -ownr "n:S-1-5-32-544;s:y"

no luck

i even tried to add an e to ownr

Did you save SetACL.exe to your Windows folder?

C:\WINDOWS\SetACL.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

That is the error I get. I see it in the windows folder. And i have it saved in a folder with SetACL.exe inside.

Don't save it in a folder, just save the exe directly in the windows folder.

It might be that the file is corrupted, so try redownloading it.

Right i deleted the files i had started it over and saved only the exe. it worked kinda it all looked like the matrix while it was looking for the files.

When it finished i still got this error

SetACL finished with error:
SetACL error message: The call to GetNamedSecurityinfo failed
Operating system error message: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Download Takeown and as usual extract it to your windows folder and type the following commands:


 


CD..


TAKEOWN /F Owner /R /D Y

now I get

"Unable to assign Administrator as owner Log on as Administrator and try again.''

But this is my administrator account :/ Let me try this on safe mode.

Same story got the same thing running on safe mode in the account named Administrator.
