I've been writing a post on my homebrew NAS project for a long time, and today I decided to publish the first part of it, since it is taking way too long for me to finish it.

The post is on my blog, here: http://log.nunca.com.br/post/361963204/the-big-little-nas-pt-1 and should be followed by a second part as soon as I get around to finishing it (it's sitting in the drafts folder right now).

It basically involves Linux, AFP, some scripts for TV show conversion and the hardware used. I was gonna email this to a forum member that asked earlier but decided to share here since there may be more geeks like me who are interested in setting up something similar.

Post here if you have any comments or considerations on it.

Hopefully it won't take me as long to post the second part. :)
