I just got a Western Digital Mybook Essential 1.5TB External Hard drive. I was wondering if there is a program that I can set up to automatically Backup/Sync certain folders on my Internal hard drive to my External Hard drive lets say once a week. Incase something happens to my computer.

Thanks It looks really good I'll give it a go! :D
when it backs up everything will it save a version of the file when you make the tinest of changes and will it delete the files from the backup if you delete it from my harddrive?
Im just asking this as I dont want a huge folder with like 12 different backups of all my files
For example if im working on a Photoshop file and saving it in between, will it save a copy every time I save it? Because sometimes I might spend a couple of days on a photoshop file and I dont want it to save hundredas of copys as that will just be a waste of space.
I've had a look over the website - it certainly looks like a bit like time machine but for Windows.
There is a free trial too ;-)
When I looked at the features page, have a look at the paragraph about ReverseDelta - which indicates that the latest version is always kept as a full version but previous versions it only stores the changes (which may or may not be smart enough to deal with photoshop files).
As an aside, when I need to save files but not have them backed up (eg manipulating files that have been restored and I already have backups of the originals) I will create and use a scratch area that my backups are told to ignore.
Otherwise, I tell the system to "just backup everything".
(Disclaimer: I only use Time machine and manual backups on OS X - I don;t have windows machines)
I've had a little play around with it and it seems to work really well! Thanks fot telling me about it scottjpalmer!
thanks wazzageek for the info Like you said, after i had tried it out it felt just like Time Machine.
If I Delete/add files It mirrors that in my backup. Everything works awesome and it even looks cool! :D I'm going to get a Two Pc license.
One more thing that I want to know though. Say I delete a file, It deletes the file from the backup But does it delete all the other versions of the file? Because I dont want all these versions of a file that I deleted ages ago.
