My computer only runs if i have my finger holding the power button down, as soon as i release the button it shuts down.
Also it shows nothing on a screen, so my plan is to just buy a second hand motherboard with 2.8ghz+ P4, just for some gaming.

Just wanted to make sure that its not a simple easy fix problem that i could fix? before i go and spend money on another Mobo.

It could be as simple as the button is broken.

Try connecting the reset button as the power button and see if that fixes it

Hmmm, sounds like it could just be the button itself. It's probably not too hard to replace the switch behind it?

Could be power supply, rule that out first before trying to find an obsolete motherboard that also works.
