Howdy,
I just formatted a hard drive and have re installed xp home all good.
I checked C drive properties after install and somehow I have lost 80gig of disc space, I did try to get rid of all partitions prior to re-install to have 1 drive space in c at 160gig.
My question is can i fix this without formatting again and re setting partitions.
Any help most appreciated
 Cheers

You could try a GParted Live CD and just resize the existing partition.

Sounds like someone chose Fat32 (80G limit by default in XP) and as said, will need to be offline re-sized or converted to NTFS

Thanks guys,
I seemed to fix my issue by formatting the partition that was there and it is all good, now hace a 75g c drive and a 60g H drive on the one disc, perhaps I just de activated the H partition on set up.
Thanks again.
