Reading around it seems a known problem for some phones.  Per Mauricio, mine is the same, it gets pretty damn warm on continous use - 20 minutes etc.  But certainly does not get warm just sitting in my pocket w' no background apps running.

I would indeed return the phone for another.  Sounds like you've got one of the hotties on your hands.  Nice! :)

And on the battery, per others, same as - battery life sure gets way better after a few days of the charging/discharging cycles.  Yours doesn't sound right on that either.

Let us know how you get on re service, upon return.  I would hope you could arrange another phone in advance of return, so as not to leave you without a phone.  I believe Telecom will provide such service (read back on the thread here, I think someone said as much).

My screen has started to lock automatically as soon as I initiate a call. It stays locked until the call is over, regardless of what buttons I press. Is anyone having a similar issue?

freitasm: You are probably seeing this happening because you're using the device more than you usually would - finding new things, installing apps, doing syncs, etc...

My Lumia 920 can last more than 24 hours these days with a single charge. If I go out and use it (checking emails, Twitter, Foursquare, etc) it can still last the whole working day.

Yes my experience was the same. It took about a week and then the battery life became stable with the phone lasting anywhere from 20 – 30 hours on a single charge.

However, something has changed very recently, last night the phone had 80% charge, woke up this morning to find it had dropped to 15%. The only thing I had changed was installing Baconit.

Is anyone aware of any issues with that app?

Mine's been misbehaving a little since that last extras+info update. I've had a couple of resets and it has got warm/hot a couple of times too. The other day it simply discharged itself whilst sitting on the table.

The MS/Nokia patch due this month is meant to include a fix for resets so hopefully that'll resolve it.

I wonder how many takes it took for the Joe Belfiore vid :) ...

Looking forward to any update that resolves the random reboots! :)

The best thing is not having to worry about pushing the USB cable in when charging. Just leave the phone on top of it and that's it. Going away, just grab the phone.

It's like magic!

Found a forum suggesting the proximity sensor inside may have some dust on it and i should try spraying compressed air in to ear piece...and it worked....

Portico update coming this month for the 920, including the camera fix. Daylight photos look much better.
