JamesL: So basically its the same old story with telephone carriers being the barrier to receiving updates in a timely manner

Yawn.

Well no, it's seems to the other way around. Rogers and AT&T customers are getting the update, while owners of unbranded, unlocked phones get nothing.

It's ridiculous.

Given the whole android fragmentation/update scenario this is an area that Microsoft could have and should have nailed right from the onset

Given how much emphasis is put on the 920's camera it is critical that they roll out especially these camera updates to everyone as soon as possible

Called telecom store.. Apparently the wireless charger will not be sold separately! How disappointing!

Just unboxed my wireless charger, plugged it in and phone is happily charging wirelessly :D

I was a bit concerned the charging plate might utilise the standard phone charger but no, it comes with its own power pack and cord, 1800mm long cord too I might add

Looks and feels to be as well built and classy as the 920 so have to say I'm a pretty happy camper right now. I imagine if i ever had to go back to a plug in charger it would soon become tiresome by comparison

Sounds like salesperson ignorance to me :P

There is no way they would only sell these tied in with a handset purchase, I could see me wanting two of these, one for home and one for work

I asked her multiple times and she insisted that it will only be sold with a new Lumia

Why not buy from a Telecom store and get warranty, etc?

Is there that much difference in price when considering you're covered by local warranty and the CGA?
