freitasm: The notifications show up eventually. If you don't see a notification but go to an app listing then it will show to you, otherwise it will slowly be distributed to all users. Has been always like this, even in previous Windows Phone versions.

Interesting, I guess this should be improved/fixed..

First time I turned on my phone (out-of-box), once I signed into my microsoft account, the notification app shows I need to update few apps.

Since I reset my phone, the tile did not show any of the apps need to be updated. I went to store, select one of the Nokia app and it shows [update] rather than install. Once I click update, few others apps that need to be updated came out on the store tile notification.

How do you guys find the battery life?

Anyone knows if I can reassign the search button to something else?

Same here, the battery life is great.

I also set brightness to Low. I don't like when the screen is too bright.

No problems with battery life on my 920. I have pretty much everything on except NFC/Bluetooth. I have 6 email accounts running, stacks of live tiles, stocks, XE, Wifi, auto-brightness, etc, same as I always had on the Lumia 800.

I'm still playing with the phone a lot though and so the battery does run down before bedtime, but once I settle into a routine, it looks like it will last about the same as previous phones.

The battery isn't big enough to use on holiday whilst shooting photos and videos all day. I plan on keeping a backup charge pack handy when I go away, just in case.

My wife's 920 is not so good. It has all the reported problems like it resets itself and gets hot. We're asking for a replacement for that one.

I am with Telecom and cannot send nor recieve MMS.

Have spoken with Telecom but they were not able to help without me going into a store.

I have confirmed the MMS settings with them.

Is anyone on Telecom able to send/recieve MMS? If so can you post the settings you have please?

Only between myself and other TNZ users, not with VFNZ or 2d users. TNZ are currently investigating.

Is your handset a Telecom sourced Lumia? If so you shouldn't have to do anything - not change the MMS settings for sure.

Have you ever sent MMS from this account before (on another handset)? Have you tried sending one to yourself?

Where do you buy your phone from? If it is from Telecom, leave the settings empty.

I'm loving the lumia, I'm getting 14~16hrs use out of a charge which while not great is not too bad (my S3 with similar use would only net 2 or 3 hours better). Coming from android I am struggling a bit with lack of personalization but WP8 redeems itself many times over with it's minimalist and concise UI

I fired up the S3 last night for the first time in a week and the UI just feels old and clunky by comparison, i figured I would like WP8 but had no idea just how much
