Yeah thanks billgates!

Like mischief, The warehouse staff didn't seem to know of the promotion either. The sales representative needed some superior to key in their password, because it involved a $100 write off. If it weren't for you this good deal may have just walked right past us, because I know the certainly weren't promoting this. May have sneaked one past them, because I don't think they meant for such a new device to go off for that cheap. But because it was 20% of ALL mobile phones, they had to honour it.

I was thinking about waiting for the red version, but just thought the price was too good to wait for the red version. After all might buy a case with the colour I want to replace it

So far so good! Still waiting on my micro - sim hopefully 2 degrees will be compatible
Love how intuitive it is, now hopping over to ebay to get a nice cover to protect the precious device.

There is god maybe after all. Why?

Cause expansys.co.nz has just put the Lumia 720 on 8% discount on their usual weekend special with any random handset they pick every week. I can choose between Red or White now for myself. I am thinking white. No GST/customs should apply as total will be NZ$392.

Thanks very much for the tip BillGates; this is way too good to pass up.  I have just ordered my Red Lumia 720 now Cool

Parallel Imported had quoted me $470 + Local Freight and they won't have it for another 1 or 2 weeks.

Just wondering, not being all that familiar with some areas, what the best expansion card is going to be to use in my Lumia 720.

Some sites I have checked have indicated that the  microSDXC (64GB) card is not supported, while others indicate it is.

Or would it be a safer bet to stick with a Class 10 32GB micro SDHC card?

Just amazed at some of the 'steep' prices being asked  (not to mention gouging for delivery Sealed)

It has 8GB of internal memory, so I'm going to see how I go with that.  My current phone only has 2GB so it will be a good step up for me.  Info. I have seen indicates 64GB is supported, so by the time I need more memory, the prices will probably be a little cheaper.  I've heard that Class 10 is too slow for a typical phone, and Class 2 or 3 would be better.  Maybe someone else will confirm if that is correct or not.

After turning mine on, without connecting to wifi/data (as I haven't got off my slack rear and got a micro sim yet), details are showing I currently have just a tad over 4GB left of internal memory.

I guess the remainder is used by OS and pre-installed apps etc.

My current phone only has a 2 GB SD card in it, and 2GB internal memory, but I have no music etc on it.

My iPad (16GB) is very nearly full with music - and this has to be returned to work, so I was wanting to put the songs/music onto my phone. Not to mention photos - with a flash new quality camera.

So I have rung them twice today and have managed to get hold of someone both times. Rather nice lady who answered the phone in Hong Kong with good english skills. First time, she emailed me the tracking number for my shipped order.

Rang them second time because the tracking number is with Fed-Ex which got me worried as the total on the invoice I thought would be over $400 as Fed-Ex shipping charge was $40 on expansys website. Turns out that the same lady upgraded my delivery to Fed-Ex for free and the total on the invoice is still under $400 (the original invoice with $26 Toll courier company's deliveyr rate).

Fed-Ex tracking showing that I should have it delivered by Wednesday.

Great stuff.

Still cannot figure out that why no one ever answered the phone during the past couple of weeks when I rang them during standard business hours. The lady did mention that operate on the call center 9AM - 6PM Hong Kong time.

Thanks for the tip about FedEx and the expected delivery on Wednesday.  For myself, I've had lots to do outside today, so haven't bothered about chasing them up; just assumed that Expansys would have everything in hand, as they have with my previous orders.

Everything looks good so far apart from the revelation that WP8 doesn't have a Google Drive App.  However, I can access the web page for Google Drive and download any files I need from there.  It won't be a frequent requirement; just something I need a few times per year maybe, so I think it will suffice.

Give SkyDrive a chance. You might like it. Does me well. It's also integrated into the WP8 OS very well in the Office and Photos hub. There is also an official separate dedicated SkyDrive app available to download for free from the Store.

Can you share files between accounts on SkyDrive?
This is the key reason I use Google Drive.
