Hi guys

http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/wp8-availability-in-asia-pacific/

920 Telecom "Coming Soon"
820 Vodafone "Coming Soon"

Looks like it's rolling out for those devices a LOT of places worldwide in the last day or two according to posts on wpcentral.com, can only be a matter of time now...

Have also read that other variants (620/720 etc) should be done worldwide by the end of September

Awesome, thanks for that info! Correct me if I'm wrong, but updating that way does not preserve user data right?

Important question.... since updating to the telecom gdr2 rom, do you now have data sense? have read that not all carrier roms have got it and that's a feature I'm quite keen on

If you manually flash it, its not an upgrade so no data retained

Hi

I have a Nokia 720 that was purchased from The Warehouse, it came without a sim card or any carrier branding so I'm wondering what updates would be available (in due course) and who would be pushing these out?

I use a Vodafone pre-pay sim and are on the Smart19Data plan

Cheers.

The 520, 620, 720, 820, 920 will receive Amber / GDR2 by the end of September

You can tell what mobile operator build you are running under settings, about, more information

Your 720 is likely an open market unlocked build, Country Variant Australia

Thanks Nathan

"Your 720 is likely an open market unlocked build, Country Variant Australia"

Yes, correct. Under 'System/about/more info' it shows the carrier as Australia.

So for my phone, is the update pushed by Nokia/Microsoft and independant to what Vodafone or Telecom may offer phones purchased from them?

Thanks.

If not anybody got any idea of when or how?

Thanks.

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?

Re 920 Amber from Telecom... Telecom replied to a tweet I sent, stating: "hey there, we're looking at late this month, bt will be sure to keep u updated! ^VG"

Sorry not sure on 720, that would be carrier unbranded so up to Nokia I think...?
