Went to those NZ retailers, looking for a good deal.  Normal pricing, but on the other side of the ditch, there are some good prices to be had.

Original text of tweet:
"Check out the great #Lumia 520, 625, 925 and 1020 offer at Dick Smith, Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Big-W and Kmart today only!"

I wonder if they used the wrong Twitter account to post this, or whether NZ retailers missed a memo :)

They've deleted the tweet and replaced it with "Oh no! We hit send too soon. Sorry guys, our tweet was wrong about the special offer. Hope you can forgive our Friday brain #sadpanda"

They're good phones. I have a 825, 1020 and used to have a 800 and 900 before that. I also have the HTC One and HTC One Mini. Those are the only Android phones I really like - and they're beautiful.

As for using WiFi during setup, never had a problem. I used WiFi for setup - I wouldn't dare do my initial sync over mobile network, too large.

The reality is NZ is a rounding error on the global market place

Wouldn't let me, only gave me the option of turning on mobile data when it asked to sign into Microsoft account. Must be a 520 issue.

Welp, maybe we have 4 duds, but in a mixed environment with S3's and S4's, iPhone 4S and 5's, and some Lumia 720 and 800s, the Lumias have had the worst feedback across the board from all users, and have had the highest requirement of support. Anyway, sorry, didn't mean to derail the thread, just disappointed at where Nokia have ended up, having been a big fan for a decade or so.

Yes this is true, however all existing and upcoming windows phone 8 devices will get this feature when gdr3 rolls out.
