I received the Black update on my Telecom 920 this morning. The email and SMS info on the glance screen are very handy. I need to find out what the other new things are......

Why does it take Nokia/Vodafone/Telecom etc SO LOOOONNNNG to get the updates out for each model?

What exactly is it that they have to do that causes several months delay?  Surely they could test all models at once and release the updates for all models at the same time.

Or is it a sales/marketing ploy, update the expensive models first, then wait a month or two, and hope that those of us with the cheaper models like the 520 get sick of waiting and buy a 1020/1520 just to get the update?

You should add this question:

Why are us 520 owners STILL waiting for the update? What exactly is it that's taking so long for Nokia to release the update to Vodafone/Telecom for this model?

The Lumia 520 is the only sub $200 phone ever to receive this many updates.  Count your blessings.

I keep reading other blogs pointing which countries are receiving updates. In the Windows Phone world we are not behind at all.
