I have only 1.2 which includes includes Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, New Plymouth, Gisbourne, Hastings, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Nelson and Invercargill but excludes Pukekohe that 1.3 has.
I must try and integrate this to the Nokia 6275 before I sell it off.

Where do I upload the thing to? it's 181 MB! and something that lasts more than 10 days too would be handy!

PS, If anyone wants a good condition never dropped Nokia N95, I still have mine sitting in it's box being utterly useless. Comes with some software extras.. Give me a SENSIBLE price if interested. Same goes for the Nokia 6275, boxed and getting lonely.

Hmm can you split it into two .rar files? Megaupload is one i like but it has a limit of 100mb so you would have to split it. Things tend to stay on there a while. Thanks very much by the way sounds good.

:( Sigh..... I've used stored maps in the past, but I deleted them because I didn't know that you could hide them from the gallery by 'hiding" the file.

I was going to try the stored maps route again, but, this: MapTitleCacher.perl script isn't avaiable at the website provided any more. Does anyone know where to get it from now?

I used these instructions (this is where I found the link above to get the MapTitleCacher.perl script from).

Thanks for any assasitance.

I'm just around the corner from uploading the MGmaps cache, The only reason for the delay is that my internet is currently an okta touch on a dataplan so uploading 170MB would be painfully expensive and slow.

I'll probably use that uploading.com link suggested unless sombody knows of a better way?

Nokia promised us official maps too by now and what happened?

Really, I heard that it was supposed to be the start of next year. Well, the sooner the better.

I am going to the east coast of the United States in a few days time to visit relitaves (for a whole 2 months...YAY!) and will be purchasing the navigation addon for my phone. I'm looking forward to getting to use that. I'll try and keep you posted on how that works out (of course I've had to buy a car charger :( but I suppose I won't have to rely on charging it that night :) ).

Can't beat the burble of that American V8. Ohh yea!

I'm going to be going with AT&T and I have already downloaded all 1.2GB of US maps. They only data that I'm expecting to need to use will be buying the navigation add on.

Well I had a chance to talk with one of the Nokia maps team here at the Nokiaworld conference this morning about NZ maps. Sadly he is unable to give any time frame around our update, but generally speaking its still in the order of 6-12 months away. Pretty cool on the plane over though, got a GPS lock and the in the GPS data the speed matched the planes own instrumentation exactly (altitude was a couple of hundred metres off though). Got a screenshot somewhere, I'll upload it sometime later. Having used the maps in Amsterdam I have to say that I'm looking forward to Nokia's map update for us.

Good old nokia, Promise the maps then ensure they drag the chain with releasing them.

Well I finally sold the N95, Now what GPS unit should I get!

when orcon sort out my net, i'll upload the MG-maps cache too and might even attempt to add to them.

Yeah its annoying how incomplete the Nokia Maps are for NZ. I went out to my parents place last night (Te Aroha) and for most of the way the pointer was going over bare land. Even noticed with Sh1 it just disappears in sections.
Am hanging out for that MGmaps cache to be uploaded, I've tried using Gmapmaker which is on the mgmaps site but I don't think I've worked it out properly
