I need help getting my desktop to have Internet access over the USB connection to my Windows Mobile device.

I have recently moved and do not have Internet access in my apartment.  I do, however, have a Windows Mobile 5 (AKU 3) Pocket PC that can get on the Internet over Wi-Fi.  The Internet Sharing application only seems to work for cellular or dial-up connections, not Wi-Fi.  I know the device has ICS and NAT available, but I can't figure out how to configure them.  Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Geekzone... Windows Mobile does not have ICS or NAT - it can't be used as a router or gateway for Wi-Fi connections.

Let's see - you say your Windows Mobile device can access the Intenret over Wi-Fi and you want to share it. How can you have Wi-Fi available in this new place if you don't have Internet access? If this Wi-Fi you can access is a public access spot (you pay per use) then the cheapest way is to buy a Wi-Fi USB adapter for your desktop.

If this Wi-Fi is not public, then someone else did not secure the connection and it shouldn't be used.

However, if you are thiking of using your Pocket PC's cellular data connection (this is not Wi-Fi), then it's a different story. Let us know before going down that path.
