Hi - Im' just about to upgrade to the Okta Touch and I'm very keen to use some BlueTooth stereo headphones with for fitness and study.

The BlueBAND-R Bluetooth Stereo Headphones (http://www.flashcards.co.nz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=66&products_id=1066) seem to have good feedback - Has anyone tried them with the Okta Touch?

Do they fully support A2DP and AVRCP?

Can anyone recommend better headphones than the BlueBAND-R?

Thanks!

Chris.

Update - I decided to just go for it - The Okta Touch and the BlueBAND-R Bluetooth Stereo Headset work perfectly.
Streaming music, with full wireless controls (play, pause, previous/next track etc.)

Cheers.

Sorry, didnt see your post earlier. I have these headphones, and I did have an OKTA Touch.

Nice combination that worked really well, and no issues at all.

Wish I could get something that will work with my Telecom Treo. I know it does not support A2DP so that may be the issue. Is tehre a work-around this?

My very first Google search for your problem yielded a solution as the first result.

will give it a try. just hope it does not mess up the device. Wondering Telecom has not inform their customers about the update that is available.

Thanks

Backup all your data, and/or take a full device backup before installing any new software.

Hi Again - another update - While the HTC touch works brilliant with the BlueBAND-R headphones, I was having trouble with having to manual pair the headphones prior to every use (by disabling then reactivating the 'wireless stereo' option in the Bluetooth Options).

However, just found a great FREEWARE plugin, that will pair the headphones with the Phone at the touch of a (onscreen button).

A2DP Toggle.

Thanks!

Chris.

I don't think you need another software for this... If you go to Bluetooth settings, tap and hold on the device name, then select "Set as Wireless Stereo".

This will ensure that this device will automatically connect if both the Pocket PC and the headset are nearby and switched on.

Hi - I tried your suggestion previously, and yet it would still not automatically connect to the Wireless Stereo on the headphones.

If I pressed the 'connect' button on the headphones, it would virtually always bring up the Voice Dial option on the phone, however, the other headset controls wouldn't work (ie. play/pause, forward/back, volume) and stereo would not play through the headset.

However, I'll try deleting profiles, resetting everything and give your suggestion another go.

Thanks!

You shouldn't need to press any "connect" button. If you set it as the default stereo, and if both devices are on, it should connect automatically when you start playing something on Windows Media Player mobile.

I agree one shouldn't have to, however in practice it seems one does have to at the start of every day tap through to reconnect, following a headset charge overnight.  There are about 8 taps, with corresponding intervening delays one has to do every morning.
If the app makes it just one click to reconnect a paired bluetooth headset then that is cool, if it checks and re-pairs at say 0800 each day then that is really cool!

Initial testing suggests this is also working fine on a WM6 O2 Atom Life.  Simultaneously switching Bluetooth on and off as well is selectable, and seems a good idea from a battery conservation perspective.

I was inspired to buy one of these BlueBAND-R based on this thread but might have missed the boat as when I went to Flashcards website as it is no longer advertised. There is a Nokia BH-501 headset which appears similar so wonder if anyone here has had any experience with this model. Also to save me looking up does the HTC Titan have a2dp as I want it primarily for listening to music.

Thanks

Hi - You're right! The Blueband-R headsets seemed to have dissappeared. Have you tried ringing Flashcards.co.nz?
0800 Number, and very helpful on the phone. I bought my blueband-r headset from a store here in Christchurch - I found the details through pricespy.co.nz ... but they no longer have any blueband-r details either... I'll try to find the store contact details and will post the details here...

In the mean time... ring Flashcards - They should be able to help.

Thanks

Chris
