I have a hp 5500 series ipaq pocket pc. I have plugged my charger into the desk top holder and plugged the desk top holder into the usb of my computer and the ipaq is not charging. What I am I doing wrong? The Ipaq does charge when connected only to the charger. I just can't get a charge when I have it in the holder.

Not sure all Pocket PC charge from the USB directly - the h4150 doesn't seem to have this (although it does charge from a USB miniSync retractable cable). Some Pocket PC require the power adapter to be plugged into the cradle even though it is connected to USB.

i know hp6315 has a checkbox in the power settings for usb charging. might need to check your pocket pc and see if this checkbox is checked.

my 3850, although it doesn't have a checkbox, i was able to charge my 3850 using usb/serial dock/craddle and withouth power adapter plugged in. just need to make sure pc is on or standby (not hibernate) and it will charge. though slower than normal but convenient.
