I can't seem to get ActiveSync to work via a USB Bluetooth adapter with my PC. Both devices say they see each other, but when I open ActiveSync on my S100, it says not connected, while my PC Bluetooth connection says "connected." Any ideas.

Thanks,

Kevin

Start by checking your personal firewall settings. Then check that yout Bluetooth device is not connected to a USB HUB - and make sure the USB is working ok.

Even though other devices may work fine, the USB may be at fault - in some cases around here people reported success after installing a new USB card.

I looked at the Firewall settings and the active sync exceptions are listed and checked. I guess I could try to re-install the BlueTooth adapter, but it worked perfectly with my 9300 Nokia. It's simply no playing nice with the Qtek.

Have you checked each step of the configuration through our Bluetooth Guides? What you are describing can be caused by firewall problems, or a malfunctioning USB adapter, or using a USB HUB or by selecting the wrong COM port on ActiveSync on your PC.

Mauricio,

Thanks for the reply. When I open ActiveSync I only have three options for connection: Com4, Com5, and IR, under Connection Settings. Could it be that my ActiveSync is not up to date or able to handle Bluetooth? I have not gone through you guides, but I will try it today.

Kevin
