Help. I have a PDA2k and have recently purchased a GPS reciever (globalsat BT338) which connects via bluetooth. The PPC and GPS both show that there is a connection but it only lasts for 2mins before disconnect and there appears to be no incomming data from the GPS.
The PDA announces the data connection as outgoing and i am wondering if this should be incomming? If so how do i fix this? Has anyone used this GPS on PDA2k before? any problems?
The GPS software preinstalled is called GPSinfo and no information is shown re sattelites, location etc when the PDA is showing a connection. What could be wrong?

The first thing I would do is to make sure that you have the Bluetooth Com port set up properly, and also to make sure that you giving it 3-4 mins to set itself up properly in terms of obtaining proper signal strength.

"Some Bluetooth GPS receivers do not connect reliably to the device" is still on the list of known issues with the PDA2k , even with the latest ROM update so you may be facing an uphill battle.

I haven't been brave enough to try a Bluetooth one yet but if you're interested, I've had both the Global Sat SD501 and the Stellus Starnet SDIO GPS cards running in my PDA2k.

Both SDIO cards worked well. I think the Stellus one performed slightly better, even though it doesn't have the external aerial option of the Global Sat. The Global Sat card that I borrowed had the same GPSInfo software that you seem to have so it does sound like a Bluetooth connectivity issue, not the GPSInfo software.

By the way, both the ones I tried have the downside of taking up the SD slot so there's not enough memory for decent maps. Because of this I'm also on the lookout for a Bluetooth one that works with the PDA2k so let me know if you get it going.
