Welcome to Geekzone...

To synchronise a Pocket PC you need MS Outlook (not MS Outlook Express) and ActiveSync. ActiveSync is a free download from the Microsoft website.

Microsoft Outlook is part of Microsoft Office, but can also be purchased separately. It's on the CD, but since you don't have it...

Hi there. Windows Mobile executes its own code, and its not compatible with Windows executables.

The Pocket PC comes with small versions of Word and Excel, although only in Windows Mobile 5.0 (the latest) they are really compatible.

If you need some serious editing on your Pocket PC, there are software for this, such as PlanMaker and TextMaker. Otherwise you can use the built-in Pocket Word and Pocket Excel.
