Hopefully someone can help me with an IPAQ email issue...

In order to check email from the IPAQ I added a new account with the POP and SMTP settings for our mail server. When I synced for the first time the IPAQ created a second email account from the Outlook on my laptop.

I'd like to be able to only have one email account to have all my "stuff" in one place. And when I sync it wouldn't have to download the same messages all over again.

How can I combine the two email accounts? Can I do this?

Thanks,

Scott

Welcome to Geekzone...

The Outlook account is created when you synchronise to your computer or to Exchange. It will only send and receive e-mails when you place the Pocket PC in the cradle (PC) or anytime over-the-air (OTA) to Exchange ActiveSync.

The other accounts don't "synchronise" (i.e. don't keep an exact image of the mailbox): emails are downloaded, sent and deleted on demand, but the messages remain on the server and are not marked as read.

You can't merge these accounts - also they have different functionality, so you have to decide which one is better for your use.
