Correct. While I don't have an exact date (due to various factors in the process like customisation, etc) it is not far off at all. Check out this Symbian Anna Video on YouTube if you want a refresher of what's on the way -- note the 'Much More to Discover' means what it says.

All I need is to be able to add invitees to calendar appointments, I wouldn't have thought that would be so long to fix.

You've got to remember though that they are doing a lot of other "fixes" too, what's important to you isn't important to the next guy and vice versa.  So I guess it takes a while to get all of these various tweaks sorted and as is always the case a change in one area means other changes need to be incorporated.

It all takes time

True, N8 is not targetting business users and would probably be a low priority function to restore.

You will most definitely get full calendar functionality in the Anna update. And yes, while that is a small feature on its own to fix there are many updates in there to bundle into one package and a lot of work to make sure it's absolutely flawless.

While we're on the subject of N8 and Anna, it has also been mentioned that there will be a fair few updates to the N8's camera features which will be available at or soon after Anna launch.

Just reading about the Anna Update and it looks impressive.

Since my last message on this thread I can say that I am still loving my Nokia N8 and I am getting lots of pressure from my wife as she wants one too (she has a Nokia C7) :)

The only disappointment is not many specific software & games being developed for Nokia (compared with other phone's that I wont mention :))

My N8 is WAY faster... hardly ever get lag when laucnching apps... all apps work flawlessly and it doesnt do the weird freezing thing it used to!

Its awesome... The only thing that I cant seem to see any difference with is the camera, not that im not happy with the camera (Ithink its really grat) but alll the websites said there would be changes to the camera?

Hi Starplay,

The camera features will come very soon, but not with the update. The statement from Damien Dinning was that it required Anna to work, not that it would come with Anna. It's not far off though and it looks great!

Regarding your Store issue, (without scanning the thread to check) do you have an NZ bought device with an intact warranty? If so then you can take the device in to get it serviced and the Store issue fixed.

Awesome... Looking forward to the camera updates.

Yes... Phone is NZ new from Vodafone - with warranty. Where do I take it? Nokia told me there is nothing they can do. And I cant be left without a cell phone due to work... or loose any of my data.

The camera update has just been released in beta on Beta Labs. You can get it here: http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/camera-update

Regarding servicing, just take your phone into a Vodafone outlet with your receipt (or 2degrees if you bought it there) and they can send it to our Care Centre to be serviced. If you live in Auckland you can drop it off at our Care Centre directly at 435 Khyber Pass Road and get a faster service. Note your device data will most likely be lost, so you will want to run a back up in Ovi Suite or use the Backup feature of the N8's file manager onto MicroSD before you drop it in.

Just installed Anna today and looked OK, ofcourse it removed the languages that I already have installed on my phone, then tried to install the language again and guess what?

The phone is dead, instulation of the language (or flashing the phone) have blacked out the screen, tried all the resets that are available but no good, only getting vibration wehn rebooting but no lights and nothing on the screen.

Have tried connecting it to my PC but nothing is detected.

Yep, its my fault :(

Well, My N8 is now fixed by Omni Tech.
Back to the old version and I cannot update my phone anymore because will remove the region software that has been put in (MEA).

So goodbye Anna update:(

Oh by the way, non of the files that where on my phone has been deleted, they are all intact, cool

You should get Anna once it has been released in the region loaded to your device. Good to hear your data is safe!
