I own a HP IPAQ hz2700. I was wondering if there is an adapter/cable that would plug into the SDIO-capable Secure Digital slot allowing my IPAQ to have a USB port.

I can’t believe HP didn’t think a USB port or similar would be useful and that they chose not to include at least one port for an external hard drive or hundreds of various other possibilities.

Also…my IPAQ also doesn’t have video in/video out ports….Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for any “input” you could provide. (Pun intended) lol

Welcome to Geekzone... Most of the Pocket PCs (not only the HP ones) don't have a USB Host port. Only a few have, and these will come at a cost. I don't think you will find a SDIO to USB adapter.

The Pocket PCs are "companion" devices, and the storage requirements are served by using CF, SD and most recently miniSD cards. You can get some large CF card (8GB) which should be more than enough for a good use on a Pocket PC.

The only standard audio output is the 2.5" (or 3.5" depending on model) audio jack...
