1) Is there a step by step method of setting up ActiveSync 4.1 with my pocket PC WM 5.0 JAs Jar ? Where do I start ?
I am just plugging in PPC to PC with USB cable that came with the JasJar ???

2) On the PPC how does one limit emails coming in to 100 KB ?

3) How does one search this email forum ?

Any ideas

The start is pretty simple:

- Read the plastic sticker attached to the i-mate Jasjar screen - it tells you not to connect the device before installing the software
- Install Microsoft Outlook from the CD (if not already in your computer)
- Install Microsoft ActiveSync
- I recommend a reboot at this point
- Charge the Pocket PC from the wall charger
- Configure the Pocket PC with your name (Start | Settings | Owner Information) and a name for it (Start | Settings | System | About)
- Plug the Jasjar and after a while the ActiveSync Wizard will start asking question to create the new parnership.

At this point you can select to synchronise directly to a Microsoft Exchange server or to your Microsoft Outlook. Most will use Microsoft Outlook, unless you have a Microsoft Exchange account (your IT administrator will tell you if this is the case).

Ooops, didn't reply the other questions...

After you configure the synchronisation you can open ActveSync on your PC and double-click on the e-mail configuration and select the size limit for e-mail sync, and how many days you want to synchronise.

I use one month, full e-mail, no attachments download. This works well, for me... But I know some people who leave all e-mails in te Inbox, and this will cause a memory overload on the Pocket PC. I personally think that after reading an e-mail and acted on it, this e-mail should be moved to another folder, or deleted (I move all e-mails and have everthing from 1995).

As for searching this forum, use the Google Search box on the sidebar. There's a post about searching old discussions on Geekzone.

Thanks got it working...

I has ZONE alarm issues as well.

I suggest turn off zone alarm and turn off any spy ware. Then it worked fine.
