Hi there

A Quick question for Imate SP3 owners - can you access the menu (eg: calendar etc) whilst you are on a call? Or are some of the functions locked out. My Samsung 3G phone locks out a lot of features when you're on a call - not very useful so looking for replacement!

Regards

Peter

I am using Imate Smartphone2, and when you press on the "home" key, it takes you back to "Today's" screen. and you can do whatever you want. If you press the red/hang up key, then obviously you will hang up the call.

With Nokia (especially S60 phones) you can get to the menu and do whatever you wish to as well. just press the "Menu" key which looks like two boxes with two arcs.

Not too sure with samsung, sony ericson or motoroal etc, as i don't use them and probably never will either.

Do be aware that, if you are considering getting Imate's phone, none of the imate smartphones are 3G yet, you will have to wait till HTC Breeze is out, by then Imate will have it released under different name. Though I am very close/keen to get Imate SP5 due to the nice high resolution 240x320. and if Nokia N80 comes out before then, I might get N80, or N73, or E60, or E70... mmm too many selection... One other that i like too is Samsung's SGH-i310 (WM5 smartphone with 8GB hdd).

Thanks Chiefie

I went for a Nokia 6680 (S60 series) and its great - does just what I want. For a 3G phone it has good battery life too (the samsung ZV 10 is terrible)

You can do almost anything while your calling someone on a Nokia 6230.
Except standard things you wouldnt expect to be able to do eg Radio, MP3 player etc.

Got to love Nokia
