I have finally set up my Hp1940 to access the net thru my Samsung D500 using bluetooth, I have no problem using the net but I cannot access my Aol e.mails as aol tells me I need a more upated browser. I am using internet explorer on my pocket pc and  have also tried Ftxp browser but am getting the same message. I can access my e.mails just using my phone but I would prefer to use my Ipaq.

Some companies look at the browser user-agent string and "deduct" it's an old browser. People get stuck all the time with this. If AOL does not use fancy javascript you could use a program to change the browser user-agent to report Internet Explorer 6 and see if it works. You will need a registry editor or a tweak program like Tweaks2k2. But there is no guarantee this change will work, because it depends of what AOL uses - remember Pocket Internet Explorer is not 100% the same as the desktop version.

If it doesn't work, I remember seeing a Pocket PC client for AOL, but never used it - there's no trial.

Thanks for the help, I think I will contact aol to see what solution they might have but I won't expect to much.
All the best
Austin
