If you mean Windows Mobile 5.0, then no it is not available for the h41xx and h43xx series. These devices have been discontinued for a couple of years already, before even Windows Mobile 5.0 came out.

Not really. I had a h4150 until a few months back - it's still one of the fastest Pocket PCs around, and the best design ever.

Windows Mobile 5.0 uses flash memory to store data, and RAM for execution. It means devices need more flash ROM than RAM - and that's why new devices come with 64MB RAM/128MB ROM, when beforehand it was the other way around.

While flash ROM is slower, it also keeps all the information in case the battery goes flat. This is particularly nice with current devices, where users find Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, etc - all draining battery pretty quickly.
