mattRSK: Thank you for order this morning.

We received hundreds of orders this morning and we do not have enough stock allocation to fulfill all of the orders.

Unfortunately your order was not successful and will be cancelled shortly in our system.

I was #147340 and thought I would've been pretty safe. That was for the 16gb. Ah well.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the notification.

I hope you didn’t receive too much negativity from people – I think you were very brave to sell these to the general public in this manner.

Have a great day!

Kind regards,

Tony Hughes

rs200nz: Same here.  Acquire can get stuffed. When an item goes into your basket it should be allocated. Don't advertise stock and then say "oh we need to find out how much stock we can get" False advertising i reckon.  It had 90 remaining when I ordered.  Total BS!

rs200nz: I reckon there were none at all. No one on here has got one!

I reckon you are just pissy because you didn't get one.

Acquire clearly got a LOT of interest, and did the best they could to open up the ordering to everyone, and subsequently get back to those whom they could not supply to.

Well done Acquire! Good effort I say.

Does anyone know what will become of all the returned stock from Harvey Norman?
http://twitter.com/#!/harveynormanNZ

Presume the HP distributors (ingram micro & exeed) will get them all back and then sell them through different channels???

Get off his nuts

Not on his nuts, or any other part of his genitalia. Did that email even hint at "ohhh please can I have one?"...

Nope.

My order would have been sent within 7-8 seconds of the price drop and I missed out.

They could have just randomly selected order numbers, oh well.

Really not something worth losing any sleep over. As others have said, I am surprised their website managed to handle the traffic without crashing.

No sh1t i'm pissy. Aquire did a crap job and led everyone to believe they had stock. When I ordered mine there was 90 remaining in stock.  I haven't heard anyone on here say they have got one leading me to believe they falsely advertised the stock on their website.  If they had 10 it should have said 10.  They probably just sold them to their staff and used this as a cheap marketing tool
