Smiths city in chch has stock this morning of about 75 of 32GB for $230 & 75 of 16 GB for $160.  I just purchased a 16GB model.  The store manager said they had purchased all of HPs remaining stock.

fab: Can anyone tell me the cheapest price they have purchased the touchstone charger and/or the genuine HP case for?
Am after accessories, but seems to be a big variation in prices?

guess what, I got them from the "good guys".... Acquire!!!  Laughing  I rang them the other day and asked if they have stock of cover and bluetooth keyboard.  The guy from Acquire said, I'll check our stocks and he came back saying, "yes, we've got heaps of them showing in our website!"  and i replied back, "yeah right, your website was showing 292+ of touchpads the other day..  The Acquire guy said, yeah, that's a different story...

oh well..  can't help to give them a bit of a dig..  with regards to the accessories, i didn't look around but i paid $25+ and  $44+ ex gst for the cover the BT keyboard.  I read somewhere that those tiny BT keyboard selling at trademe are working fine as well..  I haven't tried them so it's up to you.  I'm tempted with the touchstone charger as well but in the end settled with the cover and keyboard (for the wife, she hates touch typing)

but again, i'll end up with all this accessories and dont have any tablet..

+1. If possible, a 16GB would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Damn! Saw the 1 per customer limit. I'm wondering if its worth chancing a trip out to JB anyway. Maybe they can be swayed in person.

If I can, and thats a big IF, unfortunately I'll only be able to pick up one. I don't have any spare funds for any more, otherwise I'd gladly have picked up some for Geekzoners and onsold them for what I paid for them :-(

What makes you so sure Mobicity will get any?

..... and how did people know there would be stock at Smith City in time to form a queue?

Hehe. I just sent a cheeky email to Mobicity asking them if they'd reconsider their current $300 asking price. I don't expect a favourable result, but it doesn't hurt to ask :-)
