ekud: does anyone have links or know of anyone stocking the keyboard preferably in NZ?

These sites are all showing as 'In Stock' chances are they all get it shipped from the same warehouse anyway.

http://www.itexpress.co.nz/epages/shop.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/itexpress/Products/FB344AA

http://www.dodgybastards.co.nz/touchpad-bluetooth-keyboard.html

http://www.elive.co.nz/hp-touchpad-bluetooth-keyboard-t19895.php

Good luck, Noel Leeming used to have them listed on their website I think but have taken them down.

DealExtreme do a reasonable mini-bluetooth keyboard that works well with my phone.

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mini-bluetooth-keyboard-for-android-wince-nokia-symbian-s60-cellphones-...

$50 for the official one is a pretty good price though.

Acquire list the official one, showing 71 in stock, same as the other guys.

http://www.acquire.co.nz/acquire/default.asp?PageID=ProductDetail&pf%5Fid=2469805&dept%5Fid=999&mscs...

They're still listing the Touchstone charger as well. Tempted to grab another one and some rubber bands so I can mount it in the car ;)

They probably sold all of those to their staff so they could put them on TradeMe as well as the TouchPads.

I bought my accessories from my local Noel Leeming 2 weeks ago, if I worked there I would've bought one at that price too.

stevenz: That Poetic case from Amazon looks like a good deal, typically however they won't ship it to NZ so I'd have to run it through my Comgateway account which would at least double the price of it.

Looks like some sellers at least will ship internationally. I have a friend who will on ship for me any way, though I would use the international shipping option as a preference if it's available.  Looks like just over $30NZD plus shipping and C/C fees.  I'm reckoning on no more than $45NZD each landed here if there were about 5 shipped together.

The Poetic ones look nice but some places don't have stock right now and are not shipping till later this month.

How about http://www.myincipio.com/HP-TouchPad-Cases-Accessories/Incipio-HP-TouchPad-KICKSTAND-Nylon-Case.asp this?

Each case is $15 and on checkout after I added 2 to my cart shipping via Fedex was only $16USD.

Very very cheap shipping. If you are interested I doubt that there stock will last long at that price and with free US shipping. I'm tempted to buy a couple but not sure the bank balance will allow it!

Use the discount code FBFAN2011 for around $2 off.

Thoughts on the case are here: http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad-accessories/296987-incipio-touchpad-kickstand-case-14-99-a.html

i just noticed that with the incipio case, it was covering the bezel of the touchpad.  I read somewhere that you can swipe up onto the bezel to bring up the cards.  obviously, with the bezel covered, you can not do this swipe commands.

can  someone please can confirm..

That gesture also works if you start it on the screen itself. Been training myself already.

Read this thread on PreCentral,
http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad-accessories/296987-incipio-touchpad-kickstand-case-14-99-a-2.html

It has some details about the bezel coverage with this particular case, apparently it wont effect performance as it is not completely covered, but until someone receives one it is hard to say what the fit will be like.

Also further down the same thread there are admission that maybe this case was originally desgined for the iPad 1, not the HP touchpad as it was titled on the incipio website. I'm going to wait until mine is received before I pass judgement but anyone who doesn't want one that they've ordered from me can cancel if this news makes them want to find another case (They were shipped via Fedex today apparently).

Just got my Bluetooth keyboard from the acquire.co.nz site, so there was some stock in the country as of about 2 days ago when I placed my order. I also got the AC charger - perhaps not the cheapest USB charger out there, but I liked the swappable AC plug adaptors - handy for when you travel.

Still trying to decide on the case and screen protector options.

bruce127: Hi, I recall reading a newspaper article while in the States a few weeks ago that HP is dropping its Tablet Line, also confirmed here: http://www.telecommonthly.com/2011/08/hp-sells-out-and-discontinues-touchpad/  Might be old news but thought some might want to know.

Yep, it's old news.  Most of us on here have been discussing it for a while now, and more particularly for the last 72 pages of this thread how we can get one of the these devices at a good price.

My 32Gb Touchpad is on it's way, International First Class mail. I have the tracking number.  Smile
