I've downloaded the PS3 media server onto my computer.. How do you tell the PS3 itself to search for the server... If anyone can tell me, please could they give easy to understand instructions as i am not all that savy with the ins and outs of modern tech stuff.

Many thanks

Iain

Once PS3MediaServer is installed, fire it up and turn on your PS3 - you will have "Search for Media Server" in the X-bar under Videos/Music etc, it should find it.

However sometimes you have to play with the network settings in PS3MediaServer (think its under something the lines of Network interface) to ensure its looking at the right network card.

I would give you exact headings but Im at work so dont have it in front of me...

the only thing i would add to that is to check the firewall settings on your computer as i have had issues with this in the past this could be in either windows firewall or if you are running an AV with security as well.

When you have the PS3 turned on and look at the PS3 Media Sever window on the PC does it say PS3 found with a huge image of a ps3? or something similar?
