PDAMan: Shame it only works on Android:(

Not a real surprise considering it's developed by Google and is a closed Beta. I can't see why it wouldn't open up in the future, but imagine Apple might have something to say about the data harvesting inherent with the game.

I had to wait 5 weeks for my invite to come through and I'm currently waiting for some portals to be activated locally, otherwise I've got nothing to do. The downside of using a population based game in a small centre...

Some may still go, but you'll have to be quick

Edit: nevermind, I mucked up the decoding.

Quite nice now that Google are sending out emails to let you know if your portal submissions have been accepted (or not...). I've had one refused but still have another 11 in the works...

Some handy links:

http://www.reddit.com/r/ingress (also has resistance and enlightened sub-reddits)

http://ingressguide.com/

http://ingressfieldguide.com/

and http://decodeingress.me/ which also publishes a couple of passcodes a day. I've gained quite a few items and about 4500 AP with these codes.

While clearing out my gmail folders I counted up my portal submission over the last 4 weeks. 35 submissions so far, still have another few I can still think of. I've had two denied, both were marginal though, and haven't heard anything else. Has anyone had their portal submissions accepted since Xmas?

I imagine we (the beta players) will be responsible for setting up most of the portals before the game goes properly live. I'm quite enjoying trying to come up with stuff and am amazed at how many things I'm finding locally.

I've had one "Success" email back from Super-OPS so far out of 4 portals I've submitted.
I submitted that portal 4-weeks ago.

It still hasn't shown up as an actual portal yet. Rumour has it that could take another few weeks.

That's the frustrating part about the game so far. A great deal of waiting to see if the submissions have been accepted. I don't really know how they're doing it either as mine weren't in order.

I really need to get over to Palmy to hack some ports and level up a little.
