People keep saying the cops are hard to escape from, but I've not had any issues. That said I've not hit a 5 star wanted level yet. I DID find it hard to outrun a tank shell, but that will teach me to mess about in military bases :)

I do have a question, I think I missed the tooltip on what Michael's special ability was, so I've never really used it. Can anyone fill me in?

Yeah same here. I would hate for my 1.5 yr old to start using the language in the game, she is too much of a sponge for words to risk playing it round her! Also it is a little more violent than here usual sesame street and peppa pig so playing it round her is a no no.
Very impressed with the physics and graphics quality. Just started the Michael mission series and I am sure there are more starter missions to go with Franklin.

I didn't see it anywhere near the beginning of the game, but during some mission down the track it came up.  His ability is to slow down shooting when you have your weapon aimed.

I'm pretty sure I know the mission it came up in (starts at an observatory), but I think I just missed it.   Well bullet time is cool, I'll have to give it a go.  How does he regen his special bar?

I am surprised at all the effusive good feedback it's getting, it's just not "fun" enough really, perhaps it's just too slow. There are some good moments, and yes the detail is astonishing, etc, car handling is very good, but it seems like it's not really got enough happening at any moment....

I hope that gets better as time goes on.

I have never really been a big fan of GTA series after the initial top down 1 & 2.  I played a little of 4 but got bored really quickly.
This one was given to me and I have to admit, I had to make the effort to play, but have to admit I am finding this one quite fun.  I enjoy all the different mission types, the randomness & inventiveness of the story that goes on is quite hilarious at times.  Don't get much enjoyment driving around from point to point, but the missions are detailed and inventive enough to keep me interested.

Does anyone know what the multi-player aspect is supposed to include?

Do you all know about the secrets on the UV activated map that came with collectors editions?

I saw a post on reddit about it and the guy had mapped all the locations of secret 'things' on a uber high res map in illustrator. I can't seem to find it but the jpeg is nearly 80mb... i'll try and remember to upload it online tonight and post the link for those interested/can't googl-fu better than me.

EDIT - Not the version I was thinking about but this is the general idea. It might spoil some things for people though so view with caution!

Here's the high res UV map for those interested. It's not all spoilers, but if you like to explore on your own then you shouldn't look...

Geez Louise, I get this game isn't for everyone (no game is) but to say it hasn't got enough happening at any moment... that just baffles me. I don't think I've ever been so spoilt for choice in any other game I've played. What more could you ask for?

On another note would anybody here be interested in starting a GZ crew once this goes online? Of course we'll be divided between consoles but it would be good to see if we could make a sizeable crew on each and give GZ some GTA rep.

DarthKermit: Looks good from what I've seen of it. Now if I just had a computer with enough spec to run it...

Yeah there's no PC version yet.

No worries. I don't have a gaming console, maybe Santa will bring me one for Xmas?
