surfisup1000: just phoned the warehouse, they have my unit put aside and waiting for me to collect tomorrow.

They'll offer me some special deals when I come in store too.

One thing -- I can get a ps4 controller shipped from amazon for $89nzd all up.

Should I , shouldn't I?

just buy from nzgs for $88.99 :)

I'm holding out for the coloured controllers, I think they aren't due until January. Both the blue and the red look mint.

The Price Watch article at NZGamer currently lists $94 as the cheapest price (JB Hi-Fi), so you're only saving $5.

Out of curiosity, how much did you sell it for?

Wow, thats not bad (for you, of course; I'd prefer to wait and pay RRP or less for one later)

Yep i guess its the price you pay for being slow and not preordering. That was a number that one was already going for on there so i used it. I was going to put it on for $1 tomorrow if it didnt sell overnight.

If it was concert tickets it would be called scalping. In the property market it would be entrepreneurial flair. Not sure what it would be called in the gaming world :-/

Yeah I heard back from Dicksmith, I thought ordering 2 months in advance would be enough :/ sucks for the massive demand, at least i know for next time. They tell me that their ETA is from the 21st - 24th of December so 3 weeks isn't to bad, another person says mid December. so fingers crossed I get it before next year!

You know what they say about assumptions. I preordered it with full intentions of using it actually, circumstances change and i need the money back. I didn't force anyone to buy it for that price, i put a price i thought was fair all things considered and someone hit buy now.

Unlucky. I pre ordered mine from the Warehouse on 24th September, $50 deposit.

personally I say good on you :)  Makes it tempting to do the same to mine (I could probably wait until the next year to get one.... until I open it up tomorrow and play it....)

I'm going to wait until the new year before deciding. I don't want to rush in and choose the wrong console.
