Behodar: Does anyone know what the "globe" icon with the number 4 on the back of the game cases is for? It looks suspiciously like a region code...

It is a region code, but like the PS3 the games will not be region locked.
Bluray movies on the other hand will most probably be locked.

Question for those with multiple account ID (i.e. US/NZ) - which one do you use as your main to play games and trophies and why?

i have both, basically stopped using my NZ one in favour of my US one due to the game prices.  USD$60 compared to NZD$108.  we're getting screwed, no reason for it.

I've seen some good deals at the $60/$80 price points for various games; I just wonder whether those prices will last. If games go back up to $100+ after launch then I expect that I'll be importing a few...

im not going to buy discs from now on, so digitally all nz games are pretty expensive.  luckily you can buy them easily through amazon.  even if you factor in exchange rate and gst the difference is just too great.

I went and bought knack , for $60 from Noel Leeming .

It is for my 5 year old, as many of the games are R16.

It's actually not that bad. I expected a rather bad game, but the story telling part of it, and graphics are just fine. I guess that game is a bit easy, but, isn't this what a 5 year old needs?

I am enjoying contrast and resogun heaps.

Rivals is also good, though the AI is rubberbanded, so it's difficult.

so far I've bought
- Black Flag - pretty good, havent spent much time outside of the game as the "french software developer" yet, always the worst part of a AC game, havent played ac since 2.
- Lego Marvel Superheroes, on amazon sale for USD$40. my 4 year old loves this, changing from hulk to bruce banner and back.
- CoD Ghosts - its just another CoD, wasn't going to buy this but wanted something different.

ill probably buy
- Injustice
- NFS Rivals

hopefully amazon has some cyber monday deals :)

I have Irish and NZ  PSN ID's, I was primarily using my Irish one (since it had most of my gameplay, and friends attached to it), but when I got PSN+ it was cheaper in the NZ store so started using my NZ ID

I've already queued up all the "free" PSN+ titles on both my NZ and US ID's, so when my PS4 eventually turns up (December 20th supposedly, so early next year), it'll be all go!

I paid that much for the PS3 on launch day, I don't want to repeat the outlay :) Funnily enough, I wandered into the Sony store at 10am on launch day, they weren't even sure what they came with as no one else had pre-ordered or purchased one by that stage. Different scenario entirely this time around!

Amazed that people are _that_ desperate though. Happy to wait a month to save $350.

yeah its crazy this time around, had months to preorder, I preordered mine on mightyape just after the 180 and ps4 were announced, figured PS4 was the way to go this time around and could easily cancel preorder if I changed my mind.  They took a good while to sell out their first batch.
