Hey,

For some reason i get 1MBp/s on Origin and no more. I am not running and DNS servers apart from default ISP ones. Steam i get 4.5MBp/s on and works good. I have see a few forums that suggest put it in RND mode to run off Akamai. Didnt help at all. Very strange. I forgot the tool that lets you see whats connecting to where. I bet its downloading from USA or something and not AU as its meant to.

It helps if you say which ISP so other people seeing the same problem can correlate.

If it's Vodafone, they have very strange routes to AU...

1MBps sounds pretty good, if you were downloading from USA it would be around 300KBps.

Anyway it's either congestion to the content you wish to download or something to do with Snap's route between you and the Origin content server.

(I assume you're with Snap since your screenshot is of a fritz.box graph).

Ahh yes,

There's your answer. It's BF4, there's always congestion when patches and DLC are released.

I think he's on Vodafone actually, being a Vodafone employee and all.

You think 1Mbps is good? What about 80 Mbps?

Well well well, let me just go cry in the corner for a couple of years until my house is able to get fibre.

Sounds like you're getting some bad routes and downloading from the USA instead of Australia.

I'm on V/fone VDSL and get anywhere from 300k to 2.4Mbps from Origin, is very flaky.
I'm "old school" so, I'm happy with anything that downloads faster than 56k ;)
