^ It was a long shot

The only issue I have found with that Pokevision website is that it doesn't seem to load ALL the known spawn points in Dunedin
I installed the scripts on my home computer and started making my own maps in case it ever went down, and some spawn points I have found never show on Pokevision (specifically known spawn zones in the Botanic Gardens and around the Wharf)

Are there any other website based options out there?

However PokeVision did allow me to get a Charmander and Lickatounge this afternoon, though I had to ignore a Ponyta, Growlythe (spelling) and Wartortle because I was supposed to be working

- Not tested to load. This is terrifying because I can picture everyone wanting to use it.

However, as an experiment I released it outside of my small group. I'd say I'll get most of the remaining bugs fixed tomorrow night.

I know I'd definitely be keen to test this out.. however, is it easy to run in the background concurrently with the PokemonGO app? I'd imagine it is. But I'd also imagine it would be easier to view on a seperate device like a tablet, with a larger screen?

Yes, just run it in the background - works fine.

You my friend, are awesome haha.. I'd definitely buy you coffee!

I also see that you have now added other areas of Wellington. My Tawa friends are going to be super stoked!

Is anyone having an issue where using 3G/4G there is a GPS error but when connected to wi-fi there isn't? Also the difference in position with wi-fi on compared to 3G/4G?

With 4G on I can get the Pokestop from my desk but more often than not get a GPS error.

wifi adds more positioning options when it cant see the GPS satellites and is having to approximate with cell location. No wifi means that it will not get an accurate enough location so throw up the error.

I like playing on my iPad at home because the GPS tracking doesn't work quite as well, so it's always re-adjusting. As a result, I can sit on the couch and watch my avatar sprint up and down the street all evening. Sometimes she ends up on the opposite side of the creek. It's great for hatching eggs, and I seem to spawn quite a few Pokemon.

I have been playing the game with my kids in the holidays. I use my iPhone 5s as a hotspot for their iPad air x 2

I notice the map seems way off compared to my phone, I'm assuming this is because their iPads are linked to my phone? Could anyone tell me if there is anything I can do to reduce the frequent GPS signal lost messages, and the location on the map on the kids iPads?

Thank you

We've had the same problem with my son's iPad. I don't know how to fix it, but it's come in handy when he's been able to reach Pokemon and Pokestops that are out of range on my more accurate GPS.

I tried the Eevee trick yesterday. I named my best Eevee "Rainer" - I think its secondary power was dig - and successfully evolved it into a level 1000 Vaporeon. I just need a Flareon now to complete the set.

I'm XP grinding Pidgeys, since they're so plentiful and only need 12 candy to evolve. There's a really handy calculator that works out how many of any Pokemon you need before you deploy your lucky egg and start evolving to get maximum XP. http://www.pidgeycalc.com Put in the number of Pidgeys (or any other Pokemon) you have and it'll tell you how many to transfer, how many to evolve, and how long it'll take. I need another 53 Pidgeys to efficiently deploy my egg, apparently.

Thanks, good to know its not a hardware issue. Although I have been looking for every reason to upgrade the 5s to a 6s. or wait for the 7? Oh I don't know.

Started the game a week ago but didnt figure out how to play it cause its so vague and the UI is the most impossible to deal with. So i just got a GPS spoofer automatically walking me around and i sit on the couch and throw pokeballs. Just dont tell my friends cause we are having a comp.

Some bugs i have on a S6 Edge plus on 6.0.1
Cant battle at a gym, Just gets stuck after it says GO and the GO stays on screen and my pokemon does nothing.
After about 10 minutes of walking poke stops and Pokemon dont show up and a game restart is needed, 90% of the time on restart i log in to 3 Pokemon around me.
Pokestops are buggy and take for every to load. Usually they dont load and the image in the middle is white, (Restart fixes this problem)
UI is very buggy and slow to respond.

I get the problem with the player stopping walking and just standing still, even though I'm still walking down the street.

I haven't had any problems with gym battles, they always work fine for me.

Some pokestops are a bit slow at coming up but usually they work fine.

I was temporarily banned on saturday morning ..

Turned on the app, and it said there was no GPS signal and it looked like my character was standing in the middle of a lake.
Turned on location services and my character was standing around at home.

Tried to catch a weak Pidgy, who escaped on the first "ping" and then fled.
Second, third, fourth attempts to catch a PMn all had the same result

Google tells me I was soft banned because I teleported.
Thankfully the ban only lasted 4 hours, just enough time for me to miss all the good weather at home - as a result, my planned weekend of hunting turned into not much hunting ...

I had a bug when I was in Christchurch at the place at the top of the gondolas, where my character would load in Lyttelton around 5 pokestops in range and would only load back to my location if I caught something.

I've been running "bots" over the last few days at home trying to gain data on if there are any nests in Dunedin; as well as "hot" locations to try and get the missing Pokemon (and see what isn't showing up locally). Results have given me data of "no nests", some places to visit to try my luck (still have to be there at the right time) and many Pokemon are just not showing up at all locally (have to evolve to get).

Egg hatches have basically become the best way to get some Pokemon (and candy)

Very much looking forward to heading to Wellington in a few weeks to get some new Pokemon (and even more of what I have, excluding the commons)

Recommend the waterfront at Frank Kitts Park during lunchtimes.  Many Pokestops and a lot of lures active on them.  You end up wading through them (and players) walking from one end to the other.

Think I have managed to find some nest locations around the city now, or more specifically locations where one type of Pokemon will show up more than others ..

I again had my bots on last night covering Mosgiel in order to see if anything rare would show up .. and when a couple did in close proximity to the house, I was off .. managed to get one
