I made a paypal for each region I want and just send it money from my NZ paypal, standard crap international paypal rates and I pay a little fee, but once its in the other paypal account it spends fine on the xbox/whatever stores.

 

Not done the comparison against those aweful prepaid credit cards like the loaded for travel or the air NZ one, but I would be suprised if there was much in it, and not having my cash locked up in a prepaid card is worth a bit more anyway.

I just buy the Xbox gift card from the respective countries online Microsoft Store using Hilton hotel address and NZ credit card OK.

Brought a 12 month Xbox Live card from CD Keys for $57NZ (ish)
Loaded onto my account via the website, and downloaded the two free Xbox One games via Games for Gold.

 

Having trouble getting the free Xbox 360 game however ... but will try via console tonight

Or you could just buy gift cards off Microsoft for the appropriate region. No middleware required
