After enjoying Star Wars Jedi: Survivor so much, I got a copy of SWJ: Fallen Order - and thoroughly enjoyed that too. It came out as a PS4 game but has a PS5 upgrade and looks and plays great. Finished with 100% completion.

Now looking for the next game - thinking of Dead Space. Also thought of Starfield which is being released shortly. However just looked into it and found to my disappointment that it’s an Xbox and PC game only - and the recent acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft makes a PS release extremely unlikely. If Starfield rates highly, I will seriously consider getting an Xbox.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Dead Space is great, so is Callisto Protocol at this point - it was a bit rough at launch.  Both are tight single player story campaigns, and excellent graphics.

I bought a retro gaming unit and I'm working through the Atari console and home computer games I used to play as kid.

Berserk, Phoenix, Blue Max and Spy-Hunter being examples.

God Damn I can't wait for Spiderman 2. I'll be very surprised if it isn't GOTY for me.

I have tried twice to play Cyberpunk. The first when it first came out, saw the disaster it was, and decided to wait for improvements. Last time was 6 months ago and I found it pretty hard work.

Has anyone played it since the latest large update? Does it improve general gameplay and feel for the base game, or only the expansion?

Cyberpunk 2.0 was released earlier and yesterday Phantom Liberty was released as well. I’m starting a new character as recommended as a lot of game systems were reworked and tuned from launch.

I suppose if you didn’t like the story/plot then theres not much that fixes that, phantom liberty bring in another path to the RPG and a lot of content so worth getting if you have the base game already.

Crafting has been made less tedious, less junk items around, more define skill/perks, armour stats is seperate from cosmetic clothing, you can deflect with the katana now (ha), cop AI has been updated to chase you (and other criminal NPC’s) around the city ala GTA.

Theres a bunch of patch notes if you take a gander at 2.0 patch notes.

And if you’re a benchmark nerd like me you can redline your GPU with the new path/ray tracing features if you bored of playing actual games and just want to see some fancy tech.

Edit: from a technical standpoint the game isn’t broken as a lot of media pushed on release thanks to the terrible past gen console version. Critical bugs around gameplay have been mostly patched but from a ‘will-it-run’ perspective it can run on Steam Deck and has a preset in options for it.

I love the Assassains Creed games. I may have mentioned that previously. My favourite two by far, were Black Flag, which in it's time was a masterpiece, and Oddessey which was one of the few games I have happily buried in excess of 50 hours into.

Valhalla reviewed poorly at the start, and has improved over time, but I can't get into the setting. Mirage, looking at the reviews, whilst largely positive, doesn't appeal. Whilst I heavily used and enjoyed using stealth in AC games, this feels more like a fairly average expansion rather than a game.

I might look to pick it up later, heavily discounted if I have nothing else to play. If anyone else who also enjoys AC games, picks it up, keen to hear your thoughts.

I enjoyed Valhalla but I played on PC.  It's a long game so you better be up for it.

Anyone who likes Xcom Games (they are probably my favourite Genre) XenoNauts 2 is a lot of fun.

Struggling to get into Starfield, and Baldurs Gate feels really hard to play.. Cruising along, following where my nose takes me, get into an unwinnable battle.. Sigh.
