A little late to the party, but I've just finished Witcher 3 (I bought it ages ago and ended up waiting for the PS5 upgrade).

A thoroughly enjoyable 120 hours!!!! I just started the Hearts of Stone DLC and there's quite a difficulty spike. Not complaining, though, I'm not quite ready to move on to something else just yet.

Meanwhile, on my PC, I just picked up the original Baldur's Gate and I'm going to see if it has aged well. (I haven't played BG3, but it's on my list to get round to)

Friends and I finished Grounded recently, then 3 of us got into Raft..... that was enjoyable and finished the mains tory of that a couple of night ago. Taking a break from survival games for now, couple of us jumped back into Counterstrike for a bit before deciding on our next game.

Since I last checked in here months ago, I finished playing Baldur’s Gate 3 after spending a couple of hundred+ hours on it. I alternated between thinking it was great and feeling not my cup of tea. In the end not real keen on the full-on D&D thing.

Then AC Mirage. Loved every second of it - my type of game. Long time playing and went very close to 100% completion.

Alan Wake II next. Very clever, mind-bending and ‘different’ type of game - makes you wonder what those Finnish devs were on when they made it. Found it very difficult at times even on ‘easy’ setting. Would be interested to know what others thought of it.

I feel like I’m near the bottom of the barrel of current PS5 games that appeal to me. Have just started Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Not sure what to make of it but it’s teenagery and not really my thing. However I’ll persevere with it in the absence of anything else.

Yep - FF7R is a Big Mistake. Yuck!

Going to give Elden Ring a whirl.

Dragons Dogma 2 might be worth consdering, but I'd seriously consider Returnal.

I’m wary of roguelike games - never actually played one but pretty sure that wouldn’t suit me. I know Elden Ring is bit like that but I understand it does have some sort of difficulty setting.

The only "difficulty"setting in Elden Ring is to grind and find the O.P. items...  It can be extremely frustrating but a good game.  I finished it and I'll probably look at the DLC when it comes out but Im not rushing to play the Dark Souls games...

Seems to be a bit of a slow patch in PS5 games, Im considering Baldurs Gate 3 but meantime back to playing Minecraft :)

Ubisoft has announced Assassin's Creed Shadows (previously code-named AC Red) will be released in November - set in feudal Japan. Hard to tell from a trailer and a promo video but there's reason to be optimistic that it will be great. I'm a big AC fan so really looking forward to it.

Same. I thought Mirage was OK but not as good as odyssey. I have decided once and for all I will skip Valhalla.

Shadows will have two playable characters - one stealthy, the other combative.

Supercell Squad Busters is huge fun. I am really enjoying it.

Trudging along with Jedi Knight Survivor. It just feels like hard work to play.

I can see that my Astrobot pre-order has already been downloaded to my PS5 ahead of tomorrow’s launch date. I know what I’ll be playing this weekend.

I am playing Star Wars: Outlaws on Series X, and I like it so far.
