sidefx:
The Outer Worlds and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Both seem really good though my aging rig is struggling!
Hope you're playing Hellblade with headphones. It makes it a much better experience given the way the binaural audio is applied.
Playing PC Building Simulator on the Switch. I'm finding it strangely addictive at the moment, but I'm only a few hours into the game.

Yup I only PC game with headphones. Creepy AF... (Tried it briefly on xbox one with full HT setup and yet it had nowhere near the same impact)

I am playing Call of Duty: MW at this moment.
Finished Control. Holy moly what a ride! All the best bits of Fringe and Counterpart and X-Files smashed together into a bonkers story and world to inhabit for a while. It's super challenging, some bosses you'll die 10 times in a row and it can be frustrating, but you get very powerful as you gain new powers and skills to the point where even though the enemies are still challenging, you have a lot of fun fighting them using your range of powers. The graphics are stellar, the physics are mental, and some of the levels are like walking into a kaleidoscope and trying to find your way back out. Also heaps and HEAPS of lore to read along the way, which I highly recommend you do because it enhances the game a lot. Especially some of the references to other games in the Remedy universe.
I've just finished RDR2. It took me about 6 months!
Being a grown-up and having less time for gaming sucks sometimes.
I may need to play a couple of shorter games; but I've got Witcher 3 in my back-log (another 6 months for that??)

Depending on how you play - whether lots of side missions etc - Witcher 3 is not shorter than RDR2. Goes on and on and on....
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Currently playing Fallout 3. First time playing any of the Fallout games and I'm loving it so far

I think this pretty much sums up my gaming of late.
That said, I really need to fire up Dirt Rally again and get in some practice for WRC Rally NZ in September (in the real car).
gehenna: There's a bunch of great comparatively shortish punchy games. Try Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and A Plague Tale: Innocence. Not every game has to be a 100hr epic to be worthwhile.
I went from ultra long to ultra short: played "Abzu" (kind of like Flower or Journey, but underwater) which was only a couple of hours or so of gameplay.
I'm now playing the Resident Evil 2 remake. It's like meeting an old friend I haven't seen in years! I know this one is reasonable short, too. I'm happy with a couple of short and snappy games, before I take on another open world epic. I've got both 'Witcher 3' and 'Horizon: zero dawn' in my backlog, tempting me, though.....
Started Control, but bailed after a few hours as it was very boring and felt awful to play.
Just finished Jedi: Fallen Order, incredibly buggy game and could have done with a bit less backtracking but the story kept the whole thing humming along nicely.
Got the Lego expansion for Forza Horizon 4 and that seems fun so far, pretty lighthearted and enjoyable.
Thinking about getting back into World of Warships aftera few months absence, but if anything it seems even more grindy than it was before.
Weird re Control. I loved it, controls felt ultra natural, especially as you up your skills.

the whole game to me felt floaty and unresponsive and not even in the "cinematic" way, almost like the character wasn't in any contact with the ground.
