Last night I finished an Arkham marathon. I played the Rocksteady trilogy through in order over a few weeks.

Good fun but it's definitely time for a break from Batman games for a while.

Arkham Asylum is one of my favourite games. It's such a nice compact game with a great plot.

Just started Metal Gear Phantom Pain which I downloaded when it was on sale on Sony Store several months ago. Very different to my recent Assassin’s Creed experiences and I’m having trouble getting into it - Hideo Kojima is ‘very different’. Still, it got very high ratings on Metacritic - 93% overall - so I’ll hang in there. Gotta be good - and I don’t really have any alternatives right now. Apparently it’s a stealth genre game and that appeals to me.

Oh wow I forgot how cool it is.  About 75% done and such a great game and fun story.  Riddler is getting very annoyed with how many of his puzzles I've solved along the way :)  The remaster looks very very good too, given it's just a lick of paint on an 11 year old game.

I was hoping they would have a next-gen Batman for release for the PS5. I am happy though, to get Spiderman.

Yeah Miles Morales should be awesome.  I'd be expecting to see "PS5 Enhanced" versions of some games too, such as Spider-Man.  It'll be great to play some of those PS4 games with ray tracing.  Should make TLOU2 look almost photo real.

Yeah enhanced Spiderman would be cool.

If it wasn't for Spiderman, or Cyberpunk there isn't that much I am super interested in.

So, Return to Arkham is a PS4 Pro enhanced version of the two best Batman games? It's available relatively cheaply at MA today, wondering on picking it up.

I am still working my way through Jedi. I have a week in QT this coming week, so looking forward to a few days of down time.

I have downloaded Railway Empire, but it's really confusing. The tutorials are very average. It does review quite well, so perhaps once you understand the mechanics perhaps it's more fun, but I have had to restart about 4 times, because things I do wrong are breaking the tutorial or whatnot.

I’m looking forward to playing TLOU2 but will wait until I have the PS5.

I heard there was going to be an enhanced version of GTA5. I played it when it first came out but would consider re-purchasing to play again on PS5.

The GTA 5 upres actually makes me angry.  That's a 7 year old game at this point IIRC.  I've played through it a dozen times.  Instead of extending it's GTA Online lifespan on next gen they should make a new game.

I played Railway Empire and got a fair way into it before getting stuck on a particular level and not being able to get past it without completely restarting the level I'd spent hours on. Very frustrating tutorials and not particularly intuitive is how I'd describe it. As a self confessed fan of Railway Tycoon this game disappointed me.

I thought GTA6 was due 2022?

Probably, but they could have spent the last few years working towards a next gen day one release.

GTA5 is a big income earner for them. They use that to Fund GTA6. GTA6 almost certainly will get pushed again. They need something to appease online players between now and then. I think it's a sensible move.

I'd like a new game sooner, but Rockstar have never been ones to rush things.
