Yeah I know all the details.  It's still dumb.

The GTA 5 upres actually makes me angry.  That's a 7 year old game at this point IIRC.  I've played through it a dozen times.  Instead of extending it's GTA Online lifespan on next gen they should make a new game.

I thought GTA6 was due 2022?

How about 2024?

Right, well that makes a remaster seem even better to me.

Oh wow I forgot how cool it is.  About 75% done and such a great game and fun story.  Riddler is getting very annoyed with how many of his puzzles I've solved along the way :)  The remaster looks very very good too, given it's just a lick of paint on an 11 year old game.

I was hoping they would have a next-gen Batman for release for the PS5. I am happy though, to get Spiderman.

Looks like Rocksteady are releasing a suicide squad game instead. 2022 release though.

Just finished Arkham Asylum. Great little game. Totally holds up after all this time. Almost tempted to move straight into Arkham City. Hugo Strange was a great adversary.

Thanks for reminding me - saw it was going to be available, then forgot. Trying to download now but nothing seems to be happening. Have you successfully downloaded?

Edit: Now I think I can see a tiny sliver of white at the LH end of the progress bar. At this rate I’ll be lucky to get it before it all ends.

I hadn’t realised that the alpha was multiplayer only - definitely not my cup of tea. Looked at it very briefly then deleted it after a five hour download.

Group of us now playing Sea of Thieves - MS had it 1/2 price over the weekend.

Even without encountering anyone else, we're p***ing ourselves with laughter because no one ends up steering, or cant see due to the sails blocking the view etc, or falling overboard :)

Bit of a dramatic session last night before I logged off tho....

And just finished Arkham City.  Great gameplay improvements over Asylum, but overall Asylum was a tighter better story.  Might not play Arkham Knight again, it's not long since I played through for around the 3rd time.

Its a really good game but 3 in a row was too much batman for me. By the end I just wanted it to end. Hopefully  you don't feel the same way.

Just started Metal Gear Solid - Phantom Pain which I downloaded when it was on sale on Sony Store several months ago. Very different to my recent Assassin’s Creed experiences and I’m having trouble getting into it. Still, it got very high ratings on Metacritic - 93% overall - so I’ll hang in there. Gotta be good - and I don’t really have any alternatives right now.

After many hours and the first 5-6 missions, I’m just now getting into MGS Phantom Pain - and starting to really love it. I had no preconceptions about it and it’s way different to what initially I thought it was going to be like, based on the gameplay in the introductory quasi-missions (when I made the comment above).

Now the game has opened up, I’m surprised to find there are a lot of similarities with AC Origins and Odyssey - but still very different. After 300+ hours recently spent on those other two games, the PP controls took a while to get used to and the management of the Mother Base is not exactly intuitive. I like the way that the whole thing can (or should) be played as a stealth game - but you can still run and gun without real penalty if you want to. I’m also pleased that, unlike the AC games, there’s little emphasis on extended button-mashing melee boss fights - I find those difficult with my ageing twitch reflexes.

I’m still scratching the surface but now realising it’s going to be brilliant - can see why it received 93% on Metacritic. Happy days.
