Hi all

 

 

 

I'm having  a problem with Steam at the moment and has happened is after attempting to access Warframe on Steam i got an .exe file error then after exiting Steam and trying to restart Steam i got  an endless "verifying installation" loop so i tried reinstalling Steam now i'm getting  an endless "extracting package" loop when attempting to access steam.so what is happening and how can i fix tthis issue?

Quick and dirty way to fix that, is to delete the contents of the Steam folder, barring Steam.exe and the steamapps folder.

 

It'll nuke everything, and Steam will reinstall, but won't lose your games installed. You may need to readd additional library files.

Yeah i'll try that but i am having difficulty accessing the External USB Hard Drive the files are on.I plug it in and when i double-click on the drive in My PC the green working bar at the top of the My PC window gets to about 95% then just crawls to a halt and i'm wondering if my External Hard Drive is on the way out.
