With a PS4 - can I copy music off a CD and onto USB, ideally straight onto my phone plugged into USB?

My laptop doesn't have an optical drive, and I had a thought maybe I could use PS4 to do it, otherwise I'll have to buy an external DVD/CD drive.

I just tried this, and no luck, I'm afraid. A music CD showed up as "unsupported disc" and the PS4 refused to do anything with it. The "Media Player" app told me to connect a USB drive with music on it, and wouldn't see the CD either.

Thanks behodar for testing that out. My new car doesn't have a CD player, so need to get music off CDs onto phone for use with Bluetooth, but I've been slack lately and my collection is 2 years out of date.
