I saw a few PS3s on trademe that have "Rebug DREX 4.81" software - is this software user friendly? Btw the PS3s are not new, so I don't suppose there's a way to tell if they are on their last legs or not is there?

Also are third party controllers (supplied by TM sellers) any good?

Ive seldom found any third party ones to be any good.

Ive bought some tatty looking real sony ones from cash converters for cheap and then got some bling new shells off aliexpress to put them in.

Bad d pad is the main thing. Also very notchey analog sticks that don't have the right feel for the dead zone in the middle. Not tried clone wireless ps3 ones to know how they compared for wireless performance
